After the establishment of centre the children were sent to the schools in the neighborhood. This posed many problems for the children. They were discriminated as orphans . The villagers also found these children as a threat to their privacy. This resulted in the management setting up Vajira Vidyalaya to address the educational needs of the children.
Vajira Vidyalaya ware later renamed as WP/Jayawardanapura Indrasiri Vidyalaya. And was registered with the Department of Education as a Non Assisted Government School. 16 professionally qualified teachers teach in the school, and it has been a major challenge to find the salaries of these teachers and other finances to run the day to day functions of the school,
