WELCOME TO Vajira Sri Children’s Development Center

Sri Jayawardenapura Vajira Sri Children’s Development Center was established in 1983 with 101 destitute children who were the victims of the civil war in the Northern province of Sri Lanka. The goal was to provide shelter and hope for these young children who had lost their mothers and fathers as a result of the ruthless war. Our ultimate goal is to create a better future for children by assisting them with complete impartiality and without regard for race or religious beliefs.

Approved by the Department of Social Services as a charity. (WP/So/560. Section 1.) Registered with the Department of Probation and Child Care Services in Sri Lanka. Old Reg. No. WP/SE2/5 29th May 1985. New No. PC.Sc. 1/28 of 1986/05/07
