In addition to learning English at school the children also have the opportunity to study English under the able volunteers who are on placements. Projects abroad, National Youth Service and ISEC programme also places volunteers at the centre.

In addition 15 children from Vajira Sri Children’s home have won a scholarship from the American Centre in Colombo, for a study programme to read for an English Diploma, under the Dynead programme.

We welcome the services of volunteers who are intending to have their placement during their vacations. We are able to offer them suitable accommodation and food for a very nominal fee.
